Second, students aren't as interested as they should be in trades like Machining and Tool & Die. It's a good trade, with decent income prospects. As old-time machinists retire, there will be some new demand for machinists. Also, as the dollar collapses, there will be renewed interest in manufacturing here in the USA, and there will be new jobs for Machinists, Tool & Die Makers, Millwrights, etc. I'm a qualified Aerospace/Electronics Engineer, but I went back to school evenings and got a diploma in Machining.
